Bookings

Please book your place on the website by Tuesday mid-day before the game. Players who turned up on the previous Sunday get precedence, as do matchplay players. If you book a place then cancel, please contact the organisers by phone as well as leaving a message on the website. See also “No Shows & Lateness” below.

Handicapping

From the start of 2001/11 season, handicaps will be adjusted in accordance with the new Golf Australia system: refer to the Handicaps menu tab for details

Scoring

Anvo points will be awarded as follows: 4 players, 5pts & 2pts for 1st and 2nd, 8 players, 10pts, 5pts & 2pts for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 12 players, 15pts, 10pts, 5pts & 2pts for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Where scoring places are tied, each player receives full points. Larger no.s will be prorated accordingly. NTPs and LDs will be awarded 2pts and 1 pt.

An exception to the above scoring is where say 6 players are booked in, but only 4 turn up, the 4 players shall be awarded points as if they were 8.

No Shows & Lateness

If you book and then don’t turn up without informing the organisers listed on the front page, you will be deducted 5 pts. If you are not ready on the first tee, 5 minutes before the published tee-off time you will be deducted 5 pts.

“Unlike many sports, golf is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee or umpire. The game relies on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for other players and to abide by the Rules. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they may be.
